About us

PictureLe Puy en Velay Renaissance Festival 2012
We were fortunate to be able to retire from demanding jobs and demanding work schedules about 12 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed leaving the workplace pressures behind.

Since then we have had a great time  with the aid of our motorhome and a map of europe. While buying a retirement place in the sun  or taking a geriatric round the world gap year were attractive propositions  we decided to take the motorhome route which offers us variety and flexibility.

Us in Estepona 2013
We tried to spend about half the year away from home and have enjoyed some wonderful trips around europe and beyond and met lots of interesting people and visited lots of interesting places both on and off the beaten track. Also given us a chance to practise those rusty language skills learned at school and learn new languages too.

2020 Update
We have swapped our motorhome for a place in the sun after all and are now settled in Portugal - still a great stepping off point for exploring the Iberian peninsula and beyond - Covid 19 permitting.

Our mission

Picture
As Captain Kirk might have said, if only  he had had a motorhome instead of the Starship Enterprise, our mission  is explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilisations  to boldly go  where no motorhome has been before. Or more realistically to visit as many european countries as possible, to  stray beyond the EU when safe to do so and have an economical  enjoyable  and safe retirement until we are too old and knackered to leave our armchairs when we may have to resort to online poker for our thrills.

                     Happy motorhoming
