Azinhal 2015
This is a country fair and, as we discovered once we had got there that there was a reason for the goat silhouette on the posters as there is an emphasis on goats. There had been some goat judging before we arrived so we just got to admire the goats that had "won".
The fair is on for three days and a typical village fair, rustic, authentic and well worth a visit.

The dancing couple above is in fact just one girl, she is bent over and the dancing lady's legs are her arms and the man's legs are her legs. So clever, watch the video clips below.
There were craft displays such as basket making and cork products. Stalls selling artisanal products such as wine, soap, shoes, cakes, modrinho (local firewater), and flavoured olive oil as well as some more unusual options. The stall shown on the left here was selling plain piri piri chocolate - a sample left you breathless.
There was a large pig being cooked as well as beer wine and freshly squeezed orange juice and music promised until the early hours.
A rather professional cookery demonstration - it looked as if there were going to be free samples later too.
