Lots of floats and dancers, guys on stilts, majorettes, drummers - all very noisy but good humoured and often spectators would join in too. Streamers and confetti everywhere - should keep the street cleaners busy all night.
Great fun and only a few euro to enter and well worth visiting, this was our first time here as we are not often in the right place at the right time.
Next time we need to get into some fancy dress or at least get a silly wig or mask.

Those teenagers who chose not to be part of the procession itself opted for what looked like a splendid paint fight in an area just close to the procession route. These kids were caked in paint, their clothes would have to be thrown away and goodness knows how long it would take to get their hair free of paint and other disgusting looking gunk.
