International Zip wiring
This is a fun way to spend a day.
Drive up to Alcoutim which is a pretty village on the Guadiana River, its a scenic drive and a pretty place to visit and there are plenty of places here for a refreshment of one sort or another. Once there you can spend €1 and take a ferry across to Spain and to Sanlúcar de Guadiana and find the office of the company which has set up a zip wire business, and which is next door to the wooden cabin selling tapas. From here you are taken by land rover to the departure point high above the river.

The staff are very good about ensuring that you are securely harnessed and understand what your adventure entails and what you should do when you get to the other end. Once you're happy its down to you to take your feet off the ground and just go.
As Spain is one hour ahead of Portugal this means that as you zip wire back into Portugal you are travelling back in time so this is a time travelling international zip wire experience.
