November weather Portuguese style

7/11/2012

This time last year we enjoyed some unusual weather here in Portugal - it was warm and sunny and never rained. Now we are back to normal and experiencing some more typical November weather here on the Algarve - rain and wind.

Despite being confined to the motorhome there is plenty to do, not least of which was revising all our Portuguese homework before we recommenced our lessons with Olga yesterday. Reading Portuguese is one thing but speaking is quite another as a word is rarely pronounced as it is spelt. Practice practice practice but when the bloke behind the bar  worked in Swaffham for a while and speaks perfect English its difficult to get that practice in.

hope the weather gets a bit better for when we get there - at the moment it is scheduled for 7th December, but had a bit of a problem dropped on me this morning - my daughter has to have a major op on 17 December - feeling very guilty at the moment
